Magic Lessons #58 – Lucky Coin Trick

This simple lucky coin trick creates the illusion that you are able to locate double-headed coins where no one else can.
There are rumors that finding a double-headed coin brings luck to the finder, similar to the four-leaf clover myth, so people are naturally keen to find one.

Double-headed coins are also supposedly worth a lot of money. Unfortunately this is not the case. These coins are only made for magicians and pranksters like me. You will probably never see one in out in the world.

Magic Lessons #50 – Coin Fold Magic Trick

Coin Fold Tear - Coin Fold Magic Trick The coin fold magic trick first appeared in Jean Hugard’s book “Close Up Magic”, published in 1938. This magic trick has been around for a while. You will see this trick appear in many beginners’ magic books and so many people have read how to do it and watched videos of this trick, however, you barely ever see any magician do it.

The reason for this is, the coin fold magic trick is fast and short and it only really exists as an impromptu trick you can perform for friends when you are trying to kill a little time. There seems to be no motivation behind the coin fold magic trick. The audience only sees a coin wrapped in a piece of paper, the paper torn and the coin disappearing. Why?
