Magic Lessons #42 – That Magician Is Me
“That Magician Is Me” is a simple, fun magic lesson you can use that allows you to talk to your audience about the world of magic and magicians.
Non-magicians often find our world of magic very intriguing. To them it seems to be very mystical and some will wonder how they themselves can get involved with magic. It comes across as a very special club, and in a sense it is.
Here is a range of some of my favourite magicians on the card use you in this trick:
- Mac King
- Bill Malone
Michael Finney
- Juan Tamariz
- Eugene Burger
- Doc Eason
- Bill Abbott
- Mel Mellers
- Rune Klan
- Rafael
- Daryl
- Bob Sheets
- Gazzo
- Geoffrey Durham
- Penn and Teller
I’d suggest that you follow up on these magicians as they all can teach you about the art of performing. Select some of your favourite magicians and research some interesting facts about them that you can relay to your audience during the trick.
Be Yourself and Show Passion:
Don’t be afraid to let the audience know of your passion for magic, tell them that you want to be the one who fills the vacant position. Audiences respond well to enthusiasm and it can intrigue them further. Don’t be afraid to tell them a little about yourself as well, it makes your magic more personal and ultimately more enjoyable.
During the “That Magician is Me” magic trick, I use a story about being different as a way to stand out from fellow magicians out there. Performing this trick can help reinforce this important message that you can never hear too much.
The Free Download is available at the buttons in the article. Print it out and stick it to a piece of cardboard and then cut it down to the correct size.
I hope this magic trick helps you show the your friends and family a little a bit about what you are interested in and get them involved in your wonderful world of magic.
